The clean-up of mold growth should be done in a manner that removes and/or cleans all mold and moisture damaged materials and protects the occupants, workers, and the surrounding areas from exposure to mold spores.
If desired, EHSI/Healthy Buildings can conduct a post-remediation clearance
assessment that provides the necessary information to determine whether the remediation activities conducted were complete and
effective. A post remediation clearance assessment includes a visual assessment of the work area for evidence of remnant mold and
moisture, use of moisture meters to confirm that all previously affected materials have normal moisture contents, and the collection of air and/or surface samples for laboratory analysis and evaluation. Post remediation clearance assessments provide additional peace of mind and an assurance that your mold and moisture issues have been
appropriately resolved.
