We are all exposed to mold spores everyday. Usually the exposures are very low and produce few or no physical reactions. However, sometimes our homes, offices and possessions have enough moisture to sustain mold growth at amounts that could adversely affect our health and well-being. Moreover, recent research has shown that “damp environments” can affect the health of some individuals....even if mold levels are very low.
EHSI/Healthy Buildings can provide mold and moisture investigations to address known water releases as well as to provide information about mold and moisture when they are only suspected but not obvious. Sometimes only a portion of a home is affected while other times the presence of moisture and mold may affect an entire home.
EHSI/Healthy Buildings uses state of the art tools including thermography and borescopes (for remote visualization) as well as traditional tools such as moisture meters and sampling equipment. But the tools are only as good as the operators using them. EHSI/Healthy Buildings thermographers are accredited and EHSI/Healthy Buildings operators have decades of experience identifying and quantifying moisture damage and mold growth. After identifying and assessing mold and moisture problems EHSI/Healthy Buildings prepares site specific recommendations and/or mold remediation protocols for clients that have water-problems ranging from small water releases confined to one room to larger water releases or unknown moisture sources that affect the entire building. If necessary, EHSI/Healthy Buildings can provide you with a resource list of remediation firms that you could use if you need outside professional remediation help.
